  • WFSU Public Media has named longtime News Director Lynn Hatter to lead the station’s content teams. It comes after a national search following the retirement of Kim Kelling as the station’s Director of Content and Community Partnerships.
  • WFSU's new, weekly talk show Speaking Of premieres on Thursday, August 1, 2024 at 11 a.m. on 88.9 FM.
  • Jennifer Ramos, Local Leon County Schools instructional paraprofessional for prekindergarten and extended day enrichment program educator for grades K-5, is recognized by WFSU Public Media and PBS KIDS as a leader in the Tallahassee, Florida early education community.
  • WFSU's podcast "Not So Black and White" won first prize in NETA's Community Engagement category for Local Project (Division 1).
  • WFSU was awarded three Region 13 Edward R. Murrow Awards, among the most prestigious honors in broadcast journalism. Winners automatically advance to the national contest which is currently under way.
  • WFSU won two awards in the 2023 contest. Since 1950, The Green Eyeshade Awards have recognized the very best journalism in the southeastern United States.
  • WFSU Public Media received seven awards from the Florida Association of Broadcast Journalists (FABJ) for the station’s outstanding work for the 2022 calendar year.
  • WFSU gained recognition in the categories of Community Engagement and Educational Resources for the Community.
