"I think it's really important for people to just have the experience and be exposed to music and the arts."
Amy Diaz de Villegas

For more than two decades WFSU has partnered with the Florida State University College of Music to produce video coverage of their music performances and operas. In this first installment of Inside WFSU, we highlight the work of WFSU producer/editor Amy Diaz de Villegas and explain how she prepares for FSU College of Music productions.

I never saw operas growing up. I think it's really important for people to just have the experience and be exposed to music and the arts, and I think this is a wonderful way to do that,” said Diaz de Villegas.

WFSU’s formal partnership with the FSU College of Music began in 2006-2007, with Diaz de Villegas serving as Editor for the award-winning production, Peanuts Gallery, created by WFSU-TV in partnership with the College.

FSU College of Music performances are held in the fall and spring semesters at the Ruby Diamond Concert and Opperman Music Halls. To check out more of the FSU College of Music:
