Justin Edwards
TV Associate ProducerJustin Edwards is an Associate Producer at WFSU Public Media. He is a recent graduate of Florida State University, where he earned a Master’s degree in Media and Communication. He also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Film Production and Film Studies.
At WFSU, Justin has supported live productions, contributed to multiple local broadcast stories and digital stories, also assisting in producing several podcasts.

Florida A & M University is exploring the idea that it can save oldest wooden structures on campus from the ravages of time and nature. After years of mounting deterioration, FAMU is using recent funding to explore possible options to restore Gibb’s Cottage.The cottage was the home of Thomas Van Renssalaer Gibbs, a former state representative who was responsible for the legislative actions that led to the creation of FAMU. The cottage served as his residence while Gibbs was the university’s first Vice President between 1887 and 1900.

Liberty and Calhoun, two rural counties right next to each other, have experienced little to no population growth over the past five years. At the same time, the population is getting older.

Calhoun Liberty is a keystone hospital, meaning it’s the only facility for 30 miles. Hurricane Michael damaged the previous building in 2018, leaving it operating at a reduced capacity for years.

Florida’s oldest surviving bank building has re-opened to the public. The Union Bank’s restoration is complete and the building welcomed its first returning visitors Saturday.
