Tallahassee, FL—On Friday, Feb. 6, 2026 WFSU was informed that WFSQ, the classical music station, experienced a hack of its Radio Descriptive Services, a program that provides text information shown on digital and vehicle radio displays.
The hack caused WFSQ to display an offensive message. It appears that stations across the country also experienced a similar hack with similar messages.
The WFSU engineering team is working to solve the issue, WFSQ has temporarily moved to low-power transmission.
Should you still see the message on your display, please tune away from 91.5. When you tune back to the station, the message should be eliminated.
WFSU apologizes to our listeners as we continue working to resolve this situation.
