Leon County is hosting CosmicCon this Saturday at the downtown library. Participants will be able to celebrate fantasy and fandoms.

The guest readers presented positive stories of accomplishment and attainment as part of the Black History Month observance.

Featured speakers will read from children’s books by African American authors, the Omega Lamplighters will perform, and audience members of all ages will be invited to read aloud

The county has given away one million seeds since the program began in 2015. Ten varieties will be available starting Saturday.

Saturday's event at the downtown Tallahassee main library included lots of cultivation experts along with the free packets of seeds.

The youngsters received professional guidance in writing and rendering their own graphic novels.

The "Fully Booked" placemaking project includes benches that look like books and a hammock garden.

The seeds are available the rest of this month while supplies last.

The company is partnering with Leon County's LeRoy Collins Public Library system to bring the "best of the Bard" to the area's young people.
