Ukrainians and Russians in the United States are watching from afar as Russia wages a war against its eastern neighbor. Anti-war protests have taken place across the state and the country recently. As the invasion enters a second week, Lynn Hatter spoke with Tallahassee residents with roots in the region who say they’re angered, shocked, and saddened by what’s unfolding in Ukraine.

The Florida House is expected to take up two congressional maps on the floor this week. As Valerie Crowder reports, the key difference between the two plans is that one would keep African American Congressman Al Lawson’s district intact — while the other would replace it with a district located entirely in Duval County.
