Perspectives: Tallahassee’s Tress

perspectives

Tallahassee is known for its trees.  Lives oaks line the city’s canopy roads, pines tower in parks and crepe myrtles bloom. But as many city residents have learned following Hurricane Hermine, those same trees can create a liability when a storm comes. Joining us in the studio are:

Perry Odom an electric utility arborist with the city of Tallahassee.

Jennifer Magavero an urban forestry specialist with the city.

Stan Rosenthal, a forester with Big Bend Forestry and extension agent emeritus.
