The Florida House is again considering a controversial bill that would lower the minimum age to purchase rifles and other long guns from 21 to 18.A House panel approved the bill this week along party lines, as Gina Jordan reports.

It’s getting harder to get by financially in the State of Florida. Despite the minimum wage rising to $14 an hour, that amount is not enough to get by, according to the Florida Policy Institute. The institute says the average wage shoud be closer to $18 an hour for a single adult. For anyone with a child, it should be more than $27 per hour for a single parent.
