Should Florida college students be allowed to carry guns on campus? One state lawmaker says yes. Adrian Andrews reports on how students are reacting to the proposal.

While Florida lawmakers and Governor Ron DeSantis have seemingly buried the hatchet in their immigration fight, legislative leaders aren’t done pushing back against DeSantis. Tristan Wood reports lawmakers have been meeting over the last few weeks to decide which of the governor’s 2024 budget vetoes to override.

Citizens Property Insurance, Florida’s insurer of last resort, is raising its rates more than 8 percent - for 80 percent of its policyholders. Governor Ron DeSantis says it’s necessary to save the state's struggling insurance market. WGCU’s Sandra Viktorova spoke with Mark Friedlander of the Insurance Information Institute, about why this may be a good move for policyholders for other types of coverage.
