A bill that bans gender affirming care for kids is on its way to the governor. Regan McCarthy reports advocates for the L-G-B-T-Q-plus community says its one of a line of bills passed this week that are making Florida feel like an unfriendly place.

Local governments will have fewer options when it comes to imposing regulations. Florida lawmakers are making it easier for businesses to sue municipalities over ordinances that adversely impact their companies. But Democrats worry the measure is an overreach and could hurt local government's abilities to respond to the everyday concerns of their reside. We get that story from Lynn Hatter.

The Florida Legislature has approved a bill aimed at reducing prescription drug prices. WQCS’ Kevin Kerrigan reports Governor Ron DeSantis quickly signed the measure this week (Wednesday) during a news conference in Jupiter (Palm Beach County).

A bill that would take the next step in combating human trafficking in Florida is heading to Gov. Ron DeSantis. As Margie Menzel reports, the measure would require the state Department of Children and Families to conduct more oversight of adult safe homes and tighten standards for hotels and motels where trafficking may be taking place.
