HAVANA REVIVAL
The small community of Havana, just north of Tallahassee, has had its ups and downs since its founding as an agricultural center in the late 1800s. After the latest economic downturn, a group of merchants and artists is trying to put the town once again on an upward trajectory. To talk about it are the leaders of Havana Main Street: Executive Director Ann Kozeliski; and President Terri Paul.

More Than 170 Suspects Arrested In Connection With Tallahassee Human Trafficking Case
More than 170 people have been arrested in the wake of a human trafficking investigation. The arrests expand beyond Leon County to Mississippi and Alabama. After seeing an online post of an underage victim being sexually exploited, TPD launched an investigation.

Preparing Workforces For The Jobs Of The Future
Even before the pandemic struck, America's employment picture was already undergoing big changes. That process has now accelerated because of COVID-19 and new partnerships are forming to ensure there's a good fit between the new jobs and the people needed to do them. To talk about it are: Henry Mack, chancellor for Career, Technical and Adult Education with the Florida Department of Education; Michelle Dennard, president and CEO of CareerSource Florida; and Kim Moore, vice president for Workforce Innovation at Tallahassee Community College.

Florida State University football coach Mike Norvell says the decision not to play Clemson Saturday was made with the health and safety of players in mind. During Monday’s press conference Norvell also addressed statements from Clemson’s coach that the called-off game was just an excuse to avoid a defeat.

On tonight’s program: Florida becomes the third state in the country to surpass the mark of one million coronavirus cases. But Governor Ron DeSantis says that doesn’t mean a new lockdown will be needed; While COVID-19 case numbers soar in Florida, many of the state’s business leaders worry that could lead to a soaring number of lawsuits; Lawmakers who have always opposed tax and tuition hikes may have to reverse course as Florida’s revenues collapse because of the pandemic; A bill allowing firearms on Florida college and university campuses will be back for the 2021 lawmaking session. Its sponsor, Republican Representative Anthony Sabatini, insists the idea is to protect Second Amendment rights. Not everyone agrees; Last month’s election was marked by lots of partisanship, much of it fueled by what people were reading on the Internet; And postal workers are seeing tons of packages this holiday season.
