    Pebble Hill Plantation in partnership with Thomasville Landmarks will host author Beth Yarbrough for a special program focused on historic preservation, local history, and community engagement at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at the Pebble Hill Plantation Learning Center.

    Yarbrough is the author of the recently published book, The Grassroots Guide to Saving What Matters: Historic Preservation for Everyday People, a user-friendly handbook designed to engage and empower individuals interested in preserving the historic structures and places within their own communities.

    Guests attending the program will also be able to purchase the highlighted book ($12.95) and enjoy a Q&A session and book signing with Yarbrough, followed by a walking tour highlighting several preservation projects across Pebble Hill’s main grounds. Representatives from Thomasville Landmarks and several local preservation partners who serve on their board of directors will also participate in the discussions during the tour, offering additional insight into the importance of historic preservation efforts within the community.

Her workshops are always extremely popular and sell out quickly!

    Learn from the best as you craft your own beautiful fall arrangement, perfect for bringing the cozy colors of the season into your home.

    All supplies and materials are included, but you are asked to bring your own gardening gloves and pruning shears to cut your plant material to size.
