Come join PBS stations WSRE (Pensacola) and WFSU (Tallahassee) for a fun and informative
“Ready To Learn” workshop for educators! This training opportunity, which is free, will feature an
overview of PBS resources, children’s educational programming and digital assets, all of which can
be used in the classroom to enhance the curriculum. Discover ways that PBS can help engage your
students, inspire them to use their imaginations, empower parents to assist in the learning process
and help teachers by offering a wealth of free educational resources. Enjoy refreshments, door
prizes, PBS swag and an opportunity to network with fellow educators and connect with the
educational teams at these PBS stations. This Ready To Learn training is a collaborative initiative as
part of the statewide Ready To Learn grant, aimed at fostering partnerships among PBS stations
across Florida and highlighting the rich educational resources offered by PBS KIDS. This training,
hosted at WSRE Pensacola, is designed to inspire participants to become enthusiastic ambassadors
for PBS KIDS.

Each semester, the Journal of Land Use & Environmental Law at the Center for Environmental, Energy, and Land Use Law brings the nation's foremost scholars in Land Use & Environmental Law to FSU College of Law. The lecturer's paper appears in the proceeding issue of the Journal.

The series is made possible by contributions to the Journal, particularly the continuing support of the Environmental & Land Use Law Section of The Florida Bar.

John Leshy, Emeritus Harry D. Sunderland and Distinguished Professor of Real Property Law at UC Law San Francisco is the featured speaker. Drawing on his comprehensive public lands history, Our Common Ground, published in 2022, his extensive experience in public land policy and administration, and relevant events in the first Trump Administration, Professor Leshy will sketch out possible answers to the question posed in the lecture title and offer some preliminary predictions.

Professor John Leshy came to UC Law SF in the fall of 2001 after serving as Solicitor (General Counsel) of the U.S. Department of the Interior throughout the Clinton Administration. Previously, he taught at Arizona State University College of Law and served in the Interior Department in the Carter Administration as special counsel to the Chair of the Committee on Natural Resources, U.S. House of Representatives, and with the Natural Resources Defense Council in California. He started his legal career as a litigator with the Civil Rights Division of the U.S. Department of Justice.
