Perspectives: Imagining Freedom

A March 28 event at Tallahassee’s Turnbull Center will reveal how so much of the nation’s commercially sold foods are directly connected to human trafficking.  To discuss that, as well as new Florida anti-trafficking bills working their way through the Legislature are: Robin Hassler Thompson, executive director of Survive and Thrive Advocacy Center (STAC); Susan Turner, STAC board member and co-owner of Food Glorious Food; Terry Coonan, executive director of the FSU Center for the Advancement of Human Rights; and Derek Phillips, owner and grower/farmer of Handsome Harvest Farm in Gadsden County.
