"Now hiring" and "help wanted" signs are pervasive.

Federal unemployment compensation ended in Florida in late June. Those checks were on top of state unemployment checks. The theory was that less money in accounts would spur workers back into the labor market. That hasn’t happened.

In part 1, we met a tomato grower who can’t recruit enough workers, despite paying upwards of $1000 a week.

In part 2, we meet a student who’s had enough of low paying food service work, and we hear what Tallahassee Community College is doing to help.
