The Leon County Supervisor of Elections and a full staff of poll workers were on hand to greet hundreds of early voters on Monday. Early voting turnout is already breaking records.

More than 55-hundred people turned out for the first day of early voting on Saturday. That’s up from the previous record of 53-hundred on the last day of early voting in 2008. Leon County Supervisor of Elections Ion Sancho said early voting is one of Florida’s most important voting tools.
