Fifty-one years ago, fewer than 500 “Freedom Riders” changed the course of American history forever. Author Ray Arsenault’s book was the first full account of these civil rights pioneers. We talk to him, along with former Florida A&M University student Stephanie Burton who accompanied last year’s Freedom Riders re-enactment.
