An observance of the 60th anniversary of the Tallahassee Bus Boycott is one week away. To talk about the events of Thursday, May 26 are: Shauna Smith, daughter of the late FAMU Professor Charles U. Smith who experienced and wrote about the Boycott and its aftermath; Current FAMU Professor of Sociology Keith Parker, inspired by the writings of Smith and chair of the Bus Boycott Anniversary Committee; and lifelong Tallahassee resident Gloria Anderson who talks about life in Florida’s Capital City before, during and after the Boycott. Special thanks to retired Tallahassee Democrat writer Gerald Ensley for helping organize the program.
