Capital Report: 06-26-2015

The fight over the future of Healthcare in Florida is not over, despite a U.S. Supreme Court ruling reaffirming the Affordable Care Act. The Court has upheld subsidies for nearly 9-million Americans who purchased health insurance on the federal government’s insurance exchange. And as Lynn Hatter reports, some hope the court’s latest ruling could push states like Florida, to fully implement the law.

On Tuesday Governor Rick Scott used the power of a pen to approve the 2015-2016 state budget of just over $78-billion dollars, just as he used that same power to veto more than $461-million in projects. As Caitie Switalski reports, some lawmakers and even local government people are upset over the number of vetoed bills.
