Young Actors Theatre (YAT) will kick off the holiday season with A Christmas Carol, the Broadway musical adaptation of Charles Dickens' timeless classic, opening Friday, November 6, and running through November 22, with special encore performances December 18–20.
Featuring music by acclaimed composer Alan Menken, the creative force behind Disney favorites including The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, and Aladdin, the production features 129 young performers across two casts from YAT's audition-based Company program.
With lyrics by Lynn Ahrens and a book by Lynn Ahrens and Mike Ockrent, this musical adaptation was originally presented at New York City's Madison Square Garden, where it became a holiday tradition for a decade.
On Christmas Eve, the miserly Ebenezer Scrooge is visited by three extraordinary spirits who take him on a journey through his Past, Present, and Future.
Along the way, he discovers the importance of generosity, compassion, and human connection in a heartwarming story that has captivated audiences for generations.
