Today, Jordan Reeves is an internationally celebrated actor, writer and director in live theater. And he credits Tallahassee's Young Actors' Theatre for just about everything.

"You know, I started at YAT in the mid-90s. Graduated in '98 so it's been more than 25 years. It taught me the magic of not just making a story, but it also gave me this amazing sense of community...hard work pays off; we do things together as a team. I made lifelong friends there that are still my best friends today, both in the industry and out."

Now Reeves has returned to the Glenview Drive studio to direct Young Actor's "Into the Woods." It opens this Friday with performances through April 19th.

"We're not just up here performing. We're here to tell the story and to try to help our community understand something. And Sondheim's 'Into the Woods' is beautiful. It's really about what stories we tell each other and especially tell our children and how they get passed on and stories are really I think the way humanity tries to teach what we've learning from one generation to the next."

Reeves is the latest in a long line of YAT alums who have come back to help excite and motivate the next generation of performers.
