This is the second time this week that Gadsden High has been placed on lockdown.

  • An anonymous gun threat call led to Gadsden County High School being placed on lockdown Thursday morning.
  • By 2 P.M., the lockdown was lifted.

The Gadsden County School District said it received an anonymous gun threat call around 11 a.m. Thursday.

The call led to Gadsden County High School being placed on lockdown out of precaution. According to the district, law enforcement searched the campus and no guns were found.

This is the second time this week that Gadsden High has been placed on lockdown. On Tuesday, a person was arrested and charged for bringing a BB gun onto campus.

WFSU News reached out to Gadsden County's Superintendent Elijah Key for comments, but received no response.
