The incident took place Tuesday morning.

Gadsden County High School was placed on lockdown Tuesday morning after a report of someone with a gun on campus.

According to the Gadsden County School District, an individual driving on Highway 90 first observed the suspect in another vehicle, “playing with a gun.”

The caller then reported that the driver turned into the school’s parking lot. That’s when law enforcement was called, and GCHS was placed under a brief lockdown while the suspect was being identified.

The district said that a BB gun was found in the suspect’s car, and the unnamed suspect is charged with bringing a firearm on campus.

No injuries reported.
