The in-state rivalry runs deep for these two Florida teams.

Florida A&M University's volleyball team (13-5) remains undefeated in the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) after beating Bethune Cookman 3-0 (25-17, 25-16, 25-14) on Wednesday.

The Lady Rattlers had won 12 games and were holding on to a perfect 4-0 start in the conference.

The Rattlers swept BCU Wednesday, winning sets 1-3, outscoring the Wildcats by an 11-point margin.

FAMU outside hitters Iyonnie Sanford (13) and Brooke Lynn Watts (12) each recorded double-digit kills.

FAMU has swept their last five opponents.

Wednesdayโ€™s win improved FAMUโ€™s chances to make the SWAC Tournament as they now hold a 5-0 record and remain undefeated at home with 7 straight victories.

The Rattlers will play in back-to-back home matches against Southern (Oct. 13) and Alcorn State (Oct. 14).
