JetBlue’s final departure from Tallahassee will be October 27th. Anyone with tickets beyond that date will get a refund.
The low-cost carrier began direct flights between the capital city and Ft. Lauderdale at the beginning of the year. Now, JetBlue says there isn’t enough demand at Tallahassee International Airport to keep it going.
Local leaders were on the first flight on Jan. 4, 2024, and Mayor John Dailey called the deal a game changer for the airport. It took less than a year for the company to decide Tallahassee didn’t offer enough business.
At the same time, JetBlue announced new flights from Florida to New Hampshire. The company says flights between Manchester and Orlando, Ft. Lauderdale, and Ft. Myers will start in late January.
