Tallahassee’s airport would add legendary Florida State University football coach Bobby Bowden to its name under a bill that passed the Senate Wednesday.

The carrier has announced two nonstop routes from Tallahassee International Airport (TLH) to Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and Raleigh-Durham, N.C.

The Florida-based regional carrier had declared bankruptcy during the final days of 2024.

The regional carrier served five Florida cities, including Tallahassee, plus eleven island destinations.

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) machines are down.

This area doesn’t have big theme parks, but it boasts natural resource attractions like the St. Marks Historic Railroad State Trail and Wakulla Springs.

Those conversations included discussions about the airport's ticket prices and efforts to underground city utilities.

The general aviation area of the airport is now equipped with an electric aircraft charging station.

JetBlue is leaving Tallahassee less than a year after the low-cost carrier launched direct flights to Ft. Lauderdale.
