Travelers hoping to fly out of Tallahassee International Airport today are dealing with very long security lines.
The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) machines are down.
A post on the airport’s Facebook page says repairs are in the works. But in the meantime, TSA is using a backup screening method.
Travelers are urged to check their flight status with their airline before going to the airport, and plan to arrive very early to accommodate the long lines.
Statement on the TLH Facebook page:
TSA’s security checkpoint is experiencing delays, as their machines are currently down at TLH. TSA has implemented a back-up screening method, and techs are en route to make repairs.
TLH has been notified that airlines are projecting flight impacts as a result of this TSA outage. Travelers are advised to arrive earlier than usual in expectation of longer TSA lines and to check their flight status with their airline.
