The Arena Football League announced on Tuesday via Twitter that Tallahassee will be one of 16 cities to be a part of the relaunch.

Back in the early 2000s, Tallahassee had two short-lived indoor football teams; Tallahassee Titans and the Tallahassee Thunder. Both teams shared home games in the Donald L. Tucker Civic Center.

The AFL’s shortened field gives fans a chance to enjoy the game at a faster pace while players get to live out their dreams as professionals.

According to the league’s website, the 10-game season will start in April of 2024.
