Florida A&Ms Ty Hanchey is headed to the pros. The Rattler’s star catcher signed a free agent contract on Tuesday to play with Major League Baseball’s San Francisco Giants.

The Virginia Beach native helped FAMU win its first Southwestern Athletic Conference title. Hanchey finished his collegiate career with 130 hits and 14 home runs, earning him a spot in last week’s HBCU College Swingman Classic.
