Former NFL star Chad "Ochocinco" Johnson is taking his talents to the capital city. The six-time pro-bowler has been named Ambassador and Consultant for the Florida A&M University Athletics program.

The Bengals legend will join FAMU’s staff to participate in special projects to support the school’s Department.

The hire comes after Johnson shared his love for the school, during a recent interview on Shannon Sharpe’s “Club Shay Shay“ podcast.

"I have a love for FAMU" said Johnson. "I have an extreme love for FAMU because of my mom and grandma who both went to Bethune Cookman. They took me to the Florida Classic every year since 1984, but my gravitation towards the Rattlers has always been a great one. I’ve always shown them love publicly. Whether it be through attire, whether in helping any way I can."

The Miami, FL native has attended several FAMU football practices and games in the past.

The Rattlers will conclude their spring training camp this Saturday and host the annual ‘Orange and Green’ football game.
