The airport wants to become an international airport.

The Tallahassee airport is now offering a TSA PreCheck program to help qualified travelers get through the security line faster. In most cases it offers guests the ability to skip steps like taking off their shoes or taking their laptops out of their bags.

To help kick start the new program the Tallahassee Airport will open a temporary PreCheck Enrollment Center next week. The popup will be open daily starting Monday, August 22 through Friday, August 26.

The center will be located in the terminal next to the Visitor Information Center. Walk-ins are welcome, or those who wish to enroll can make an appointment online.

Anyone who is interested can schedule an appointment or find information here about cost and what you’ll need to get signed up.
