The COVID-19 test site at FAMU will continue operating.

The COVID-19 test site at Florida A&M University will remain open following a change in Hurricane Isaias’s path. Officials had planned to close the site temporarily starting today.

The Florida Division of Emergency Management had decided to close all state-supported coronavirus test sites temporarily. In a statement, officials said locations weren’t expected to reopen until Tuesday at the earliest. The goal was to allow staff to prepare for the oncoming storm. But now the Florida Department of Health says the FAMU test site will resume its regular schedule. It currently can test up to 500 people per day.
