The curfew is back in Leon County. It resumes tonight at 11 p.m. and lasts each night until 5 a.m. The curfew doesn't apply to those doing essential services.

The curfew ended when the governor's stay-at-home order went into effect. At the time, the county determined the governor's executive order overrode local directives. DeSantis said that wasn't his intent.

The Leon County Commission voted Tuesday to reinstate the curfew out of concern that residents aren't complying with the stay-at-home order the governor issued statewide.

The number of COVID-19 cases in Florida is expected to peak in less than two weeks, but according to a model used by Tallahassee Memorial Hospital, the peak isn't expected in the Panhandle until June.
