After an impressive run in the NCAA Tournament, The Florida State Seminoles men’s basketball team will not be heading to the Final Four in San Antonio, Texas.
The Florida State University men’s basketball team has been eliminated from the NCAA tournament, falling 58-54 to the Michigan Wolverines in a game that came down to a nail-biter in its final seconds.
Senior forward Phil Cofer led the Seminoles in rebounds and scored a team-high 16 points. But FSU was plagued by turnovers, allowing the Wolverines to hold a lead for most of the second half.
The Seminoles’ trip to the Elite Eight marks its third in program history.
Michigan advances to face Loyola-Chicago, an underdog looking to write its own Cinderella story, in the Final Four.
