The son of Leon County Commissioner Bill Proctor will remain in jail for now.

Jordan Proctor was arrested Tuesday and charged with armed robbery, forgery and passing a forged document. The police report was unavailable at the time of publication.

The 21-year-old appeared in court via video briefly Thursday morning where his previous conditional release was revoked. The court ordered a mental health screening and scheduled another hearing for Jan. 3rd.

Commissioner Proctor has pushed for the county to assess its mental health resources and substance abuse treatment options after his son was arrested again in April of this year for felony possessing and intending to sell more than 20 grams of marijuana and having drug equipment. Jordan Proctor was was released from jail on bond at that time.

The commissioner has said people should be able to get mental health and substance without having to go through the criminal justice system.

“I am so tired. I’m out of money. I’m tired," he said in April. "So hell, I think it needs to have an exposure, and sometimes exposure brings a healing not for me, but for other families, on what to do.”

Police also arrested the son in 2014 for the armed robbery of a pizza deliveryman.
