The yearly Market Days event to benefit the Tallahassee Museum always attracts a lot of people. But this weekend's Market Days at the North Florida Fairgrounds had overflow crowds.
Now in its 51st, Market Days has become a multi-generational happening. Just ask Sarah Pierce.
"My mom is the one who brought me here and gave me the information about being a junior exhibitor and helped me create an inventory, stock list and create my prices," she recalled.
Pierce now works at the Tallahassee Museum in the marketing department. Among the nearly 300 exhibitors, several local artists like Fred Fisher who lives at Lake Talquin and practices the rare art of fish rubbing.
"We love Market Days!" he smiled. "You see a lot of the same people, but this year is a great attendance. I don't know how many people are here now, but it seems busier than before."
The event typically attracts more than 20,000 eager arts and crafts shoppers.
