The United Way of the Big Bend has a new President and CEO, and she's no stranger to the organization and its goals.
United Way of the Big Bend Board Chair Ron Sachs made the new president announcement Thursday.
“That person is our local friend, community activist, great attorney, a woman with a heart of gold, Katrina Rolle," Sachs said.
Rolle, who’s been on the local United Way board since 2012, won out over a field of more than 160 candidates from all over the country.
“I humbly ask for your ideas, your energy and your support, because together I am confident that we can accomplish great things for the Tallahassee community and the Big Bend region that we serve,” Role said.
She succeeds Heather Mitchell who left the post last month for a fundraising job at Tallahassee Community College.
