Walton county officials have reopened their beaches, but fly purple flags to make beachgoers aware of dangerous marine life.

The Walton County Jail has 58 inmates who have tested positive for COVID-19. Only one inmate has needed to go to the hospital. The infections are isolated to a portion of one housing unit. 89 inmates have been tested so far, and 10 results are still pending.
