Annette Taddeo Eyes Congressional Seat

Charlie Crist’s former running mate in Florida’s last gubernatorial race is now seeking a Congressional seat.

Former Democratic Lieutenant Governor candidate Annette Taddeo announced Monday that she’s challenging Florida Congressman Carlos Curbelo next year.

Curbelo—elected last November to a South Florida Congressional seat—unseated incumbent Democrat Joe Garcia.

Taddeo’s race against Curbelo is expected to be a closely watched race. Another such race is the Senate Seat, expected to be vacated by Republican Marco Rubio as he looks to be a presidential nominee. Florida Congressman Patrick Murphy has already said he’s eyeing the Senate seat.
