The Leon County School District has agreed to a pilot program in a few of its elementary schools this spring to better acquaint students with a non-politicized concept of patriotism. Speaking about this “love of country” initiative are the program’s creators: Joe West with Veteran Events in Tallahassee; fellow-veteran Mike Donohue; and curriculum co-writer Stephanie Crosby.
