Republican candidate for Florida governor Byron Donalds made a stop on the campaign trail recently in North Florida’s Bay County. Randy Vuxta with the Rural News Service reports Donald’s was met with broad support despite a recently filed lawsuit casting a shadow over his campaign.

Governor Ron De Santis' veto pen has been hard at work since the new state budget landed on his desk. On "Southwest Florida In Focus," Host Jennifer Crawford and WGCU Host and Reporter John Davis bring us details of which items survived and which faced line item vetoes.

Even though the federal government requires local law enforcement agencies to help out with immigration enforcement, it seems many such agencies in Florida aren’t following that requirement.
