The race between Republican State Senator Corey Simon and Democrat civil rights attorney Daryl Parks is one of the few State Senate races that remains a tossup this election cycle. The contention has led to a slew of attack ads coming from both sides. But as Tristan Wood reports, the latest ad from the Simon camp has Parks accusing the Republican incumbent of lying.

That’s what Miami Gardens Senator Shevrin (SHEV-rin) Jones believes Democrats need to focus on if they want to rack up victories up and down the ballot in Florida. Jones also chairs the Miami-Dade County Democratic Executive Committee. With federal COVID money gone, Florida budget watchers are cautioning lawmakers to be frugal as they look ahead to the next few legislative sessions.
