Capital Report: March 4, 2024

Florida lawmakers are prepared to give parents more control over what their child watches online. As Adrian Andrews reports, the bipartisan measure would restrict certain ages from accessing social media, unless a parent or guardian says it okay.

Legislation banning undocumented immigrants from getting any ID card in the state of Florida just passed the state House. Tristan Wood reports the measure is a continuation of the state’s crackdown on immigration.

After more than 15 years of coming to the Capitol, survivors of a closed reform school are set to be compensated for the abuse they suffered decades ago. A bill to provide restitution to victims of the Dozier School for Boys has unanimously passed the Florida Legislature. The elderly survivors watched today (Monday) as the Senate passed the same bill approved by the House last week. Gina Jordan reports.
