  • Attention all Summer B students!

FSU's Museum of Fine Arts, Student Housing, and Art History Association will host a collaborative event, Link Your Legacy, on Monday, July 13, from 8:00-9:30pm.

Come join us on a legacy walk to make intentions and connections with new friends. When you arrive, you will be invited to pick up a paper link to decorate and write your intentions for this year, semester, or whole college experience!

The links will be joined into a chain-link installation, which will be displayed in MoFA’s watercolor studio space the following week. Even if you aren’t able to join the Link Your Legacy event on campus, you are invited to add your wonderful watercolors and intentions to the installation at MoFA!

    All materials will be provided.
  • Join us for our next Summer Family Fun Day on July 18 from 10:00am to 2:00pm!

From 10:00am-12:00pm, we will be hosting a children’s book reading of “A House for Hermit Crab,” followed by a watercolor collage workshop. Afterward, hang out for refreshments and drop-in tours of our current exhibitions.

“A House for Hermit Crab” was written and illustrated by Eric Carle. The book follows the journey of a hermit crab as he moves from shell to shell and the friends he makes along the way. During this reading and watercolor activity, kids and parents will have a chance to connect with one of our current exhibitions on display: Tallahassee Watercolor Society's “2026 Tri-State Annual Juried Water Media Exhibition.” This show features work by local artists from Florida, Georgia, and Alabama.

This event is for visitors 16 and under and their families. Pre-register through the Linkin Bio. All materials will be provided, and free parking will be available in the Call St Garage.

Our next road trip adventure takes us to Boston, Georgia!

Tours meet at the Thomasville History Center at 9:30am to load onto the bus. Separate drivers can meet the group at the first tour stop by 10am. The bus will arrive back at the History Center by 4pm.

While Boston may be the second oldest town in the county, it's current location was not where its founders originally started. In the 1860s the community shifted the town two miles down the road to be closer to the railroad station. Formally incorporated in 1870, Boston has since remained a bustling town complete with a Carnegie Library that still serves the community's appetite for literacy. The town supports not only a strong agricultural community but also a thriving business sector in their historic downtown.

Guests are asked to wear comfortable walking clothes and closed-toe shoes. Some ventures may involve wandering off the beaten path. Water will be available but it is recommended to bring a water bottle. Lunch and additional purchases made during the Road Trip are not included in the ticket price.
