This vibrant showcase features the talents of our incredible students, with group performances by Dance 1: Jazz, Dance 2: Jazz/Tap, Dance 3: Song & Dance and MLP’s Spooky Songs Choir. Plus, a dazzling variety of solos and duets in voice, guitar, tap, jazz and every combination of those in between!

Spotlight of Stars is more than just a show—it's a celebration of artistry, hard work, and community. Throughout the concert, you'll be blown away by energetic dance routines, enchanting vocal performances, and dynamic musical theatre acts.

In addition to these spectacular performances, we will honor MLP’s 24/25 graduating seniors and students reaching adulthood. Their dedication and growth over the years they’ve spent with us have been integral to the Making Light Productions family, and we celebrate their journey as they step into the next chapter of their lives.

Join us this summer for an exciting camp adventure at Pebble Hill Plantation! Budding naturalists will explore the great outdoors at Pebble Hill through nature observation, journaling and sketching, bird watching, creative art projects, and more! With guidance from local naturalists and artists, campers will learn how to observe and sketch nature applying similar techniques used by famous naturalists and artists like John James Audubon and William Bartram. Each day will be filled with fun, hands-on, outdoor learning experiences and nature-based art creations that will inspire campers to develop a curiosity and connection with the natural world around them while nurturing their artistic expression. The final day of camp will include a family and friends reception and public art exhibition of the campers’ nature-inspired works of art.

**Campers must bring their own lunch. Camp tote-bag, snacks, water bottle, and all other camp materials and supplies will be provided.

Additional camp registration information will be sent to participant’s parent/guardian after registration payment has been received. All signed registration materials must be collected before camp begins (signed medical release, emergency contacts, photo/video release, etc.).

Noon – 1:00: Bring a sack lunch for a picnic at the pond.

Cost: $10

Lori Curtis, who is an artist, as well as our Museum Curator, will lead this fun class for children. Enjoy the messy fun of finger painting while creating a beautiful landscape to cherish for a lifetime!

We will take our art making materials to a scenic spot on the main grounds of Pebble Hill and learn the basics of composition and color. Students will have the opportunity to express their creativity in bright colors and allow their imaginations to go wild!

All materials will be provided.

FAQ:

Dress Code: Dress for messy fun! Wear an artist’s smock or clothing that you do not mind being paint-stained. An old oversized tee shirt works well.

What to bring? A beach towel or small blanket to sit on. Bug spray, sunscreen, water bottle, and a brown bag lunch to enjoy by the pond.

What all is included: All supplies for the class will be provided. We will be using Crayola watercolor paints.

Storytime introduces young children to books, rhymes, music, and activities designed to spark a love of reading. This month’s book, Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs written by Judi Barrett and drawn by Ron Barrett. In this book, life is delicious in the town of Chewandswallow where it rains soup and juice, snows mashed potatoes, and blows storms of hamburgers--until the weather takes a turn for the worse. Attendees will then make a craft. This program is best suited for those 2-6 years old.

Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated is excited to announce its annual Community Baby Shower to celebrate and support expecting parents and families with infant children. The Community Baby Shower will take place on April 12, 2025, from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm at 872 West Orange Avenue, Tallahassee, Florida 32310.

The event is designed to provide essential baby supplies, parenting resources and a welcoming space for expecting families to connect with resources and community partners.

Attendees will receive lunch, gifts, baby care packages, and participate in educational workshops and shower games. They will also have the opportunity to meet local health care providers, parenting liaisons and community organizations supporting families.
