Bitcoin scammers sent bomb threats to five Tallahassee businesses. The threats are under investigation, but the Tallahassee Police Department reports no bombs were uncovered.

Absolute Computing Solutions, First Baptist Church, and more were all targets included in a nationwide bomb threat sent via email. The threats demanded money be paid in bitcoin—a hard to trace internet currency. The Tallahassee Police Department is cooperating with the FBI to track down the culprits. TPD public information officer, Rachelle Denmark, says the department is taking these threats seriously. While TPD does not know what the subject line of the emails said, they advise to never open suspicious emails or links.
