The Capital City Kiwanis Club and the Virtual Kiwanis Club of the Big Bend have joined forces to bring you the 42nd Annual Firecracker 5K Race and 1-Mile Sparkler Run at Cascades Park on July 4th, 2025. Both races welcome all runners while the 1-Mile Run is geared towards children. All family and friends are welcome to join us for Tallahassee's largest Independence Day kickoff event. In addition to the race, we will have free kids activities and treats. Details for event registration, packet pick-ups, and more will be shared soon, be sure to mark your calendars!

A Florida native who rose to become a creative executive in NYC, Douglas didn’t just break barriers in the boardroom—she shattered them on the field. Her leadership in women’s football and founding of the “Fins Up” foundation has empowered generations of young women through sports.

Now, she brings that same bold energy to the canvas. Through mixed-media works layered with emotion and movement, Black & Blue captures stories of resilience, identity, and the unstoppable force of female athletes.
