Perspectives: Threats to Florida Springs

Florida has about 700 artesian springs but the breakout star of them all, is Silver Springs’s located in Ocala. But Florida’s signature spring is in peril and some are anticipating the loss of this treasured natural feature if corrective action isn’t taken, like stopping excessive groundwater pumping. We’ve assembled a panel of experts to talk about the problems with Florida’s Freshwater Springs including our very own Wakulla Springs joins the program.
