Rock&Roll Hall of Famer Darlene Love on City Arts & Lectures, Tuesday, March 25th at 1pm

Rock and Roll Hall of Famer DARLENE LOVE is the voice behind countless Motown and rock n' roll classics. As a member of the all-girl group "The Blossoms," Love worked with legendary producer Phil Spector in the early 60's. Love's powerful voice can be heard on numerous hits including, "He's A Rebel," "Johnny Angel," and "Lean On Me." This year Love accepted the Academy Award for Best Documentary Film for "20 Feet From Stardom." On March 7, 2014, Darlene Love visited the Nourse Theater in San Francisco to talk about her career, and to perform with her own musicians and back-up singers.
