City Hall will be under new leadership as of mid November when newly elected officials are sworn in. We talk about local election results on today’s Speaking Of.
Members of the WFSU news team – News Director Regan McCarthy, Alaijah Cross, and Tristan Wood join Gina Jordan.
Topics include potentially big changes coming to City Hall with the election of commissioner Jeremy Matlow as mayor. He’ll be joined by teacher PJ Perez, who was elected the seat Matlow vacated.
The two campaigned together on a platform of change. We hear comments from both on election night.
We also discuss voter approval of additional funding for Leon County Schools and the use of social media by campaigns, plus the rest of the results.
The Speaking Of Radio Hour starts at 11 a.m. on 88.9 FM, WFSU.org and the WFSU app. Also find Speaking Of wherever you get your podcasts.
